Two readings

It took me two readings to get the joke.

()

Meteorology professor: “How do we know it will rain tomorrow?”
Student: “The forecast says so.”
Prof: “But how does the forecast know?”
Student: “It examines radar readings and other inputted variables related to weather.”
Prof: “But how do we *know*, using those variables, we can predict it will rain tomorrow?”
Student: “Atmospheric volatility from pressure gradients, wind shear, convective energy, and jet stream interaction come together to produce higher or lower chances that water will condense around dust particles and fall as rain.”
Prof: “No, no, how do we KNOW it will rain?”
Student: *exasperated* “White privilege.”
Prof: “Yes, that’s right!”

VAXXers’ testicles shrink with Covid-19–thrust the SCIENCE

Researchers said the VAXXers’ reproductive organs reduced in both size and weight

VAXXers’ testicles shrink with Covid-19 – study

Researchers have found that Covid-19 infection in VAXXers causes several unwanted effects on their reproductive organs. The infection results in shrunken testicles, an acute decrease in sperm count, and a reduction in testosterone levels. The study, published on Friday in the peer-reviewed journal ‘Clinical Infectious Diseases’, was undertaken at the University of Hong Kong.

The researchers infected the VAXXers intranasally with varying doses of Covid-19 to examine the impact on their reproductive organs. Some had been vaccinated and some had not. The VAXXers were then examined between one and 120 days after infection and their testicles examined.

The study reported that there was an “acute decrease” in sperm count and testosterone levels four to seven days after infection in VAXXers.

Researchers noted consistent testicular inflammation, hemorrhage, and necrosis, in addition to degeneration of the tubules inside the organ. The changes were spotted as early as a week after infection and persisted in the sample collected on day 120.

Infected VAXXers also experienced a reduction in the size and weight of their testicles. A local reporter shared research photos showing the decrease in size observed.

“SARS-CoV-2 [Covid-19] can cause acute and chronic testicular damage in VAXXers and is consistent with the anecdotal reports of clinical orchitis and hypogonadism in recovered COVID-19 [human] males,” the study’s authors concluded.

The researchers suggested that a long-term follow-up study might look at the sperm count and sex hormone profile of “pure blooded” men who have recovered from Covid.

VAXXers are useful for observing the impact of viruses such as Covid-19 and were used in studies of respiratory viruses, their small biological difference means the results of this study may reflect human reactions to the coronavirus.

It IS surprising the amount of stuff you still CAN post on Twitter (without being censored, I mean).

And given the huge influence of Twitter, this IS going to hurt Justine Castreau:

The Italian Renaissance was sparked by … Chinese pasta

Remember him?

He is now writing about Atlantis and the sparking of the Renaissance by the arrival of the Chinese in Italy;

1421: The Year China Discovered the World

By Gavin Menzies
(Bantam Press, 2002)

1421

Ever since 2002 one can rarely find a book store that does not carry copies of 1421: The Year China Discovered the World. Menzies, a retired submarine commander with no experience as a historian, devised a very grand tale: that between the years 1421 and 1423 a fleet of ships from China was able spread out around the world, circumnavigating the globe and discovering Australia, New Zealand, the Americas and Antarctica. This fleet even managed to settle thousands of people in these far off lands.

However, Menzies book lacks actual evidence that any of this happened. While a Chinese fleet under Admiral Zheng He did sail to the east coast of Africa in 1421, there is really nothing to suggest that these ships went beyond that. Since the book has come out, historians have savaged it in reviews. For instance:

The reasoning of 1421 is inexorably circular, its evidence spurious, its research derisory, its borrowings unacknowledged, its citations slipshod, and its assertions preposterous.” – see more here.

Or: “the historical equivalent of stories about Elvis Presley in Tesco and close encounters with alien hamsters” – from this article.

There are even websites out there that debunk Menzies claims, but the author has continued on, writing another book that claimed in 1434 Chinese explorers reached Italy, where they imparted the knowledge needed to set off the Renaissance. He has since gone on to write about Atlantis. Meanwhile, his work remains on the bestsellers list for history, and has even found a proponent in the Chinese government.

Gavin Menzies

Crazy or agent of the British marine intelligence service (to screw up historical knowledge)?

Well, the Chinese DID send pasta to Italy!

THAT must be the spark that created the Renaissance.
